De toeleveringsketens van fabrikanten van originele apparatuur (OEM's) zijn altijd al complex en vaak onvoorspelbaar geweest, maar in de huidige hyperverbonden wereld worden OEM's geconfronteerd met geheel nieuwe niveaus van complexiteit. Uit onderzoek blijkt dat negenennegentig procent van de OEM's van mening is dat de digitale transformatie van hun toeleveringsketen belangrijk is voor het realiseren van de strategische doelen van hun organisatie.
