Alaska Airlines maakt gebruik van microservices, Microsoft Azure en Windows Server Containers met Docker om sneller nieuwe e-commercefuncties te introduceren, in enkele minuten in plaats van in enkele dagen. Reizigers krijgen sneller nieuwe aanbiedingen en dit leidt tot een hogere klanttevredenheid en meer inkomsten. Door de e-commerce-engine hybride uit te voeren in Azure, kan Alaska ook eenvoudiger en voordeliger schalen, waardoor de sites de optimale balans tussen prestaties en kosten bieden.
