Shipping company navigates to the cloud, boosts security, cuts operating costs by 50 percent

Qatari rederij en scheepvaartmaatschappij Nakilat beschikt over een van de grootste vloten ter wereld van vloeibaar-aardgastankers (LNG) en vervoert LNG vanuit Qatar naar de internationale markten. Om het concurrentievoordeel van het bedrijf te vergroten wilde Nakilat de productiviteit en mobiliteit van de medewerkers vergroten, zonder in te boeten op de gegevensbeveiliging. Het bedrijf gebruikt Microsoft 365 en Microsoft Cloud App Security om uiterst veilige primaire cloudwerkplekken te bieden, zowel aan boord als op kantoor. Nakilat voerde ook het Microsoft Azure-platform in om de activiteiten te optimaliseren en de bedrijfscontinuïteit te verbeteren, waardoor de operationele kosten met 50% afnamen.
